Keith Ross, the Leonard J. Shustek
Professor of Computer Science,
completed the third edition of the textbook "Computer
Networking: A
Top-Down Approach Featuring the Internet". Published by
Addison-Wesley
in summer 2004 and co-authored with James Kurose (University of
Massachusetts), the book is the most widely adopted textbook on computer
networking in the United States and internationally. It has been
translated into ten languages, including Chinese and Korean. The third
edition features a picture of the Brooklyn Bridge on its cover.
